Contracting Your Phone Service
Contracting your phone service in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) is a fairly simple task.
Requirements
- The electric bill of your home (for the address and proof of residency)
- Your ID (it can be drivers license or passport)
- About $100 USD for installation (but if you get a package with internet installation is free)
- A contact number (cell phone or a friends land line), so they can contact you for the installation.
After you make the contract at the offices of TELMEX, it takes less then a week (maybe 2 or 3 days) for them to come and install all the necessary wiring at your home.
TELMEX offices are open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.
When paying your telephone bill (its a monthly bill) you can do it via Mexican bank (online or with a cashier), at TELMEX offices and on there website www.telmex.com.
For assistance, TELMEX has a toll free number 01800 123 2222. You can ask for someone who speaks English.
